| Yeah.. that's a fair amount of snow.... We're only going to get between 2-6". But we were open when we got 6" in 3 hours.. we had people driving across the lawn (and almost into the detention basin) because they could find the parking lot and driveway... and the northway was a mess. Anyways.... Not jealous.. just trying to take care of some b.s. here. E

    |   Snow days?! I didn't get those in NH when I worked at the bank. The most we would get would be a "half day" that ended about an hour and forty five minutes before our normal time out. They never used to let me leave either since I lived too close in town in management's opinion, until I started asking for OT since TECHNICALLY everyone who lived further away left and was still getting paid. Then they would switch us off and let us go home to be more fair. I was more irked since when the weather was really bad, driving in town was even worse than the highways since there were more cars out and about. I miss working in the school district. That was fun and involved days off. I used to check the webpage or TV to see if we were canceled, then I'd go back to bed and sleep in. Now I just put on my big girl panties and deal with it.

 |  I was praying for closings today. All the public schools in the counties that surround my university are closed. Most of the other colleges that are in our vicinity are closed. But is UMBC closed? NO! We had a delayed opening but are still open. The worst part of it is that I have a Chem exam today at three. All I am asking for is one day off.
