I figured it fit. And after I told my friends the story it stuck. My other nick's: Todula Hot-toddy Ta-da Todunt Todly Toodles Toad Dr. Destructo Todamus Podamus Toddy-woddy-podamus And more that I can't think of right now.....Nobody likes to call me by my actual name. |

| No stoppin' the D-Train Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Central WI | Mine was my username for my college's computer servers. I use it for pretty much everything. Other nicknames include, D, D-Train, Big D (first name is Derrick), and Egon (kinda look like him from Ghostbusters, but with longer hair).

Back on topic, my name came from a loose garage band I played guitar for. Think early Static-X or Rammstein sans sampling. My 'field name' a while back was Bad Luck--the loose team I was one place fairly high in a few local tournies, but would always loose that winning spot when I was there; Dillan's Angel would go down, Casey (our front guy) would get mistakenly pulled after sliding into wasted 'balls on the ground (he was honest, so I trust that), Dave would always have air problems with his Omen, that type of thing. My gamer name was 'Yerdaddy', except in Comp Tech class at school, where I managed 'Teh Masstor of Ghey...' PS: I'm not, for the record!

Another one i commonly use (flarpy) is at least a little more creative. Back in 8th grade i was getting set up for my first e-mail account ever. They asked me what i wanted my email address to be. I couldn't think of anything, so i looked at the toy i had in my hand. It was called Flarp. It was a farting toy, and i love to fart, so i called myself flarpy. |

| MCB Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Southern Maine | Late 80s: Conan Early 90s: Stimpy Late 90s: Jinxed Now: HP Lovecraft Conan, as I was a huge fan. Not so much Conan the Barbarian specifically, but I loved 1920-30s pulp fiction, like R.E.Howard, Lovecraft, C.A.Smith, Derleth, etc. Then Stimpy, as I was a big fan of the show when it came out, and apparently, I look like Stimpy. Then Jinxed- This was a paintball reference to a former team, where all of our guns would break down during a tournament, NO MATTER how many we have brought. Some games none of us even used guns. We just ran around throwing paintballs. Then Lovecraft- Again, a reference to 1920s pulp fiction, as well as to his mix of scifi/horror/fantasy, then is so mixed into modern hollywood. nick
