If this Jesus guy's Resurrection was so bloody Miraculous, why is it that you can't remember the date on which it happened? I mean you seem to agree that he was born on December 25th. But you likely just stole that like you stole everything else associated with your holidays, like Fir Trees, gift giving and Eggs.

Also for the record, I'm pretty sure that if Jesus does come back, the last thing he is going to want to see is a bunch of people with Crosses....Since it didn't go so well for him the last time.

Jehovah (for that is his name. Look it up) gave man free will, so it is our free will to choose our path in this life. This means that I CHOOSE to be Asatruar. It also means that Adam and Eve CHOSE to eat the forbidden fruit, stop blaming the snake for the banishment. Unless God has directly stated to you that he is offended by something, such as the creation of artificial intelligence, and not in some book that was written over two Millennia ago.....Shut your mouth. If God speaks to you, you will know it. Just read the book of Exodus, He has a flare for the dramatic, if there's one thing Jehovah knows it's how to make an entrance. Until he does, stop doping things in his name. Jehovah is omnipotent, if he wants something done he will damn well do it himself. He didn't have some human burn Sodom and Gomorrah to the ground. He levelled the cities.

You do not know what God Wants. So to do things in his name is hubris. The next time you decide say something about 'God's Will' do the smart thing and shut up. That is not god speaking though you. It is Hubris, the Sin of Pride leading you off the path. I understand that you choose to follow the Christian Religion. That is your choice. And may your god bring you prosperity.

Before you begin to think that I have something against Christ, I don't. Jesus seems like the kind of guy I could sit down and have a beer with. It's his hypocritical, overbearing, hate-filled, ignorant, fundamentalist fan club that I have a problem with. And before you even attempt to defend you beliefs understand that your defense of "God's Will" won't work on me. You know why? Fred Phelps, David Koresh, Jim Jones, Torquemada and numerous others were also doing "God's Will".........

Who cares if there's AI robots designed to hunt/kill humans....we all know they're going to be somehow tied in with Microsoft. All we need to do is just hunker down and wait for the inevitable BSOD. Problem solved.

Actually Christmas has nothing to do with Christianity. If you look back, Dec 25 was Jupiters birthday. The god of gift giving. When that one Ceasar dude turned Christian, he outlawed the worshiping of other gods so all the priests of the other gods in Rome just changed their god's name to ST. whoever.

Doesn't matter how good the hardware is. The software will always suck. When there's a 'Moore's law' for software, THEN you can be afraid.

Until then, just look at how far Windows has come (the 'better' it gets, the worse it actually is).

Easter and Christmass have nothing to do with Christ, and god's name isn't Jehovah, that is a misinterpretation of the four letter tetragrammation. There is no pronounced "J" sound in Hebrew, or most other middle-eastern tongues of that time for that matter.

At any rate, I don't celebrate Easter, Christmass, or pretty much any other of the major "Christian" holidays, since they aren't Christian, and I feel it insulting to those who's holidays they belong to, along with insulting God as well. Christ was crucified on the 15th of Nisan, won't be til April 19th, three days, and three nights later would be when he arose. Easter absolutely does not line up at all.

After all of that, I will say also, that I do not believe God dislikes science, or wants people to be ignorant, or expects them to not try to learn about the world around them. I also don't think we will not be able to make life, I think it is possible, to mimic intelligence, I don't know how far we will get, but I don't think it is impossible. Will these be an abomination? I don't think so, unless you want to bring in the 2nd commandment and claim that would be a violation of that, but it would be a stretch in my oppinion. I think it is less of a stretch to say that the cross would be more offensive like ChaplainBane suggested, being that not only did he die on one, but that it is also a pagan symbol used in the worship of other gods previous to being a "christian" symbol.

I am sorry you feel so angry about people believing in God Steven Davidson, sounds to me like you more dislike the hypocracy in most Christians. To that, I agree, and frankly, I think God agrees.

I think you would probably not be as angry if Christians did what they say good people should.

true Christianity should leave no legitimate reason for others to be offended. Doesn't mean they won't be angry or offended anyways, but there should be no legitimate beef that anyone should be able to bring against you if you are truly practicing a Christian lifestyle, as taught by the apostles.

As for me, I'll love the day that I can build my own robotic minions, and I don't think I would be "playing God" in doing so either.

Question for you guys who find "playing God" so objectionable, just for thought..

Do you get really angry when your children "play house"? One pretends to be the dad, the other the mom, or whatever, most people think it is cute. The kids watch you get ready for work, and they act out like they are doing that too, and if they've ever been to work with you, they try to pretend they are doing that as well.

How is that offensive?
