I Need Sandbags!

Hey does anyone gave a source for high quality decent priced sandbags?

Ultimately we are looking for:

14X26 Green Polypro 1200-1600 UV Sandbags

I need about 300-400 of them

Thanks

Styg

What are you going to be using them for? While for the most part sandbags are sandbags, I'd use different bags to save my house from flooding that I would use to anchor bunkers.

Also... if they are going to be near an abbrasive source from the outside you will want stonger bags.

On different projects at refinery I have seen ones that are almost made of rubber tube (not as thick as truck inner tubes.. but I've seen those too), the white woven ones, black woven ones (made of geotextile) the material of which is about twice as thick as the white bags.

You could check Sportsman's Guide, I seem to remember seeing them having some bulk bags in a catalog.

yup

These are actually going to be used at the paintball field for bunkers - yeah there are still fields that do sandbags and foxhole type playing areas

I just heard form the owner, and he of course wants GREEN sandbags when I found him a heck of a deal on yellow ones.... grrr....

anyway we use these as bunkers and to anchor some of our outher structures and put in for raised foxholes, and barriers on the 2 story bunkers.

Google was my first search, biut I am not finding a lot of places that sell less than 1000 ( or 10000 ) at a time, and I can only seem to find pricing on white, orange, and yellow sand bags.

Ultimately we are looking for:

1200-1600 UV 14X26 Green Polypro Sandbags

is the geotextile designed to break down or is it a more permanent type bag?

Thanks

Permanent. They are UV resistant for like 5 years and resistant to wind born particle abbrasion.

If you were in the DE/PA/NJ area I could get you the name of the supplier.

Be very careful of sandbags on structures... not only for the obvious reason that they could fall of and land on someone.. but the structure may not be able to hold that kind of static (stationary) load.

Neh, sandbags are all on the ground, we have 2 story structures built with a pill box up top and a foxhole with bags around it at the bottom.

and no sandbags at that surplus store. - thanks though
