| The Brown Guy! | Yea. I did some reading on the briars. The pipe I am looking at is a Briar. I don't have the links or remember the URL.. those are on my PC. I want to get a feel for pipes, then carve my own out of briar. I enjoy making my own stuff, but first need to know what I want in it. What kind of tobacco would be good to try out? I enjoy smoking Backwoods cigars. They taste good and only take about 5-10 minutes to smoke. I had a dominican once.. a churchill that cost me $11. It was amazing in taste. I want something more aromatic and mild. I once smoked mint sheesha in a hookah, that was good... so what would be a decent mint tobacco to smoke in a briar?

| Seasoned Member | Can you say Holy Smokes, lol. In the colonial days smoking was allowed in churches, hence the name churchwarden. | Blaster of Muppets | I'll try to keep MJ out of this question but here goes: Does anybody smoke tobacco with a glass pipe or know anybody that does? I've seen some really beautiful glass pipes but it seems like most people don't use them for tobacco. I'd be really interested in hearing how well they worked for tobacco smoking. I'm sure you'd get strange looks and possibly get hassled by cops but it seems like glass would be the best material for a pipe not to mention how cool they look. I usually smoke cigarettes (occasionally, not habitually) but pipes seem like a nicer way to smoke. I'll have to pick one up to try it. A buddy of mine had a cheapo filtered pipe that he smoked cloves in (yuck) but that's about the only experience I have with tobacco in pipes.
