Well I looked at mine today. These are made of rubber. I'm quessing to allow for expansion. however I will contact mill sims lab and ask. Maybe I got sent the molds by accident.

Not far off. That is a Mills grenade or Mill's bomb. Manufactured in England around 1915, and used in service till early 1970's.

Mills grenades

Allied weapons of WW1
Have to scroll down abit for info on the Mills.

They were both in brown and green.
