In my opinion it's like the old sports saying "Sport doesn't create character, it exposes it". Those studies merely gave people a format to showcase violent tendencies they already had and the doctors added 2 and 2 and got 5.

Smith.. the doctors were useing very large values of 2.

Its kinda like alcohol.. doesn't really change a person, just reveals them...

Then my "real" self makes up many random curse words and often regresses to British language for angry moments. Chainsaws are worse. Damned "Tooless Adjustment!". Breaking stuff and fingers and oil and ARG!

Sorry. I need to go play Microsoft Access 2007!! Oh wait... thats not a game....

Access is not a game, it can be played however

My job is really part live action video game, as I get to program automotive robots to toss fenders and hoods around(ever so carefully!). However I try to suppress my violent tendencies when I play that game, that's why I like Steel Beasts when I get home:
YouTube - Head on Attack

Not my video, but it shows off the game and has some excellent gunnery.

It just seems like these studies aren't bayesian enough for me...

Yeah. I kinda quit playing video games because I feel my time is better applied playing guitar or, GHASP! Talking to people! I regret having built an $850 gaming machine and buying a Wii.... Dang my impulsiveness!

Hmm. Programming robots would be MUCH more entertaining that Access!

Now its time to go play "Get my money back from these crappy shorts" from Kmart... I needed some decent looking shorts yesterday since I teach in a studio and the building does not have the AC on yet.... I put the shorts on and they were about 2" from being Man-pris. Thats enough to drive a guy to violence...

Nothing like sporting a nice kneeburn at the beach!

BlindeSeher, as long as no one ever takes it into their head to suggest paintball falls in the bad category, I'm on board.
I may have missed a few seminars in favor of scenario games

Eh one day people will forget all about WoW. Just like most people have already forgotten about EQ. Another MMORPG will come out and it will be the new boogie man that every one blames for their weakness. Kinda like back in the 80s AD&D was to blame. Oh wait what about comic books can't forget about how people at one point in time blamed comic books. =)

Its just that people waste their lives on MMORPG's. One of my former Senseis ruined his marriage because of his addiction to Everquest. These games are bad for people who cannot reasonably stop. I think the games should limit their users to 15 hours per week.

I think people shouldn't be idiots about how much time they spend playing online. It's not the game's fault.
