I agree wholeheartedly.

I am going to support the law though, because it takes the blame off the officer. At least a little bit.

Or a RAP5. Unless you're close enough to read the warning text you'd think that thing is an MP5.

While I agree that the sheeple in this country are too paranoid about seeing firearms, I can understand it to some extent when it's a firearm (or look-alike) that's probably not just someone's personal carry arm. I see a guy with a .38 in a pancake holster and I think undercover/off duty or private citizen with a personal defense arm. I see a guy running down the street with an M4, and I start thinking something nefarious might be going on.

Probably a MAC-10, think SS carries those still, right? I would call that a machine pistol and not an assault weapon, but apparently they think the secret service is part of the FBI too...so not much credence there.

From what i understand the Secret Service who escort the President and VP carry 2 backup weapons. A p90 could be slung underarm realistically, but it would be hard to conceal.

Maybe an HKX7, a little smaller than the P90? I'm not up to snuff on what is being issued anymore.

In the vids of the Reagan shooting, you can see Secret Service with Uzi's, which in the smaller form could easily be concealed.

I agree. This is why I paint the tips of all my firearms in safety orange. There is no law against it and I get a better drop on the cops.

Anyway, if a kid is waving even a toy in a threatening manner at a cop, that kid's parents are already raising him to hate cops. Best to nab the cop killers early. I was raised to respect the police and would never ever have pointed even a fake toy gun at a cop.

Wow, you might just have a point there.

One is just plain stupid, one is absolutely dangerous. Of course they try to pass legislation against stupidity which is like trying to bite your own face off.
