| I dunno, I think he was having more of a problem that he saw more of his weapons in the hands of those killing innocent people, combined with the fact that he got blown away by his own bomb and was using his own parts given to him by the terrorists. I mean, you never saw a single Stark Industries weapon in the hands of the Army (Besides the Jericho), but loads being used by the terrorists. |

| Tony didn't say he was going to stop making weapons completely, just until he figured out where the company needed to go. Presumably, to weapons that needed a passcode or fingerprint, or to sell only to the military or pre-approved buyers. As for the weapons, you didn't see much of the military hardware at all--at least not close enough to see labels. Maybe he had a contact making the assault rifles or something? He did mention the terrorists had 'his guns' but I didn't notice any obvious labels.

| "Those" guns looked like mainly G-36. And I don't know where lovecroft is pulling al this anit millitary crap from but from all I saw the movie doing is portrayed troops in a good way. The only thing Stark had a problem with is his wapons being used by terroristto kill inocents/American troops. He had no problem selling weapons to the millitary and the muillitary using them. Reading way to far into it man.

That particular press conference comments just seemed completely out of character, giving Tony Starks life, and history, since he seems to be pro-American, and pro-military. Like you say, I'm reading too far into it. I realize that. That seen just stuck out to me as completely out of place, as if it was not supposed to be there.

| True, but what really concerned him was the lack of accountability. Besides, he's supposed to be a lil naive at the beginning of the movie. Quote:
That's the whole point of the movie, seeing Tony morph from a selfish egomaniac to Iron Man.

| C4 Founding Member | I came away from the movie with the sense that the troops are supported, but 'double-dealing' arms manufacturers are evil. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the way they dealt with it. I felt that it was much better than 'The Lord of War' in that regard. |
