Cool idea. Wonder what kind of thing they have in store for if the battery dies overnight... many a crank underneath?

Yeah, I too wonder how the motor/servo/whatever holds up to ice accumulation. I don't know how many times I've had to climb in one of the other 3 doors to kick the driver-side open, only to have the weather-stripping stay frozen to the door and detach from the doorframe.

I dunno, Lincoln mk cars are pretty decent for the 90s.

Probably not. I like how the first modification they do is to remove the B pillar. That's a great first stop - don't roll that baby, or they'll pry your corpse out of the car with a can opener. B Pillars are put into cars for a reason.

More moving parts = More breakdowns.

Seems like getting in the car in a heavy rain would be a wetter experience?

Shouldn't the seats rotate out at least, and then give you a little lift, like those spring loaded recliners?

It says you can manually open and close the door, in the case of a loss of powerl. Though I don't think that includes the window?

When I saw the video, my first impression was its like the sliding door of a minivan, except vertical.

Nice, say goodbye to dinged sides of doors. But what about it's safety aspects?
