Berthelet gravy is where it's at. I may need to get you to ship some of that out here Moosepatrol. I haven't had a source for that for a few years now.

I've been having bad experiences with Paypal lately. Not really sure what is wrong with them, but it's getting to be more and more of a pain in the arse to buy and sell on Ebay.

I use paypal, but have never had to file a claim. What exactly do they do for you/against you in a claim. Phantom I'll hook you up .

Well the bolts claim lost. PP sided with me saying the guy was basically an idiot.

PP can hold funds, issue refunds and then you're out the funds and the product. It gets old fast with impatient people.

35 minutes on hold again with paypal!

Their customer service is one of the worst I've ever dealt with!

This time, the chick in Canada filled a claim against me for not getting her items she won on ebay quick enough. So I provide shipping info, customs numbers, the works.

A MONTH LATER paypal sides with her saying this
Quote:
The online tracking information you provided was not sufficient enough to confirm that you shipped the item to the buyer.

So I call to ask what's up.

Now I get the run around because the account was created a long time ago under my moms name, but all the info is mine, and it's been that way since 2000 or so.

Long story short, they tell me they can't help me until they talk with my mom who doesn't even know how to turn a computer on! Let alone know paypal information. One sales rep told me I can scan my bank info and drivers lic to show it's me and then they'll switch the name, so I call again and tell them I did what they told me and I get the run around AGAIN! It's now 45 minutes I've been "on hold" after asking to speak with a manager.

The last time this happened, I had no problem.

Worst is that they down graded my account so now until this is fixed, I can't send or receive ANY funds!

Gah!!!

I don't mind buying with PP but not a fan of selling.
I lost $100 in fees between PP and Ebay on a item ( $1500 night vision scope).

Just out of curiousity, why do people feel that the seller should eat the fees for PP?

Onto the topic of Poutines!

There are three different types of Poutines from my experience.
The Acadian Poutine is an interesting item that is basically raw potato pulp with a bit of pork in the center, shaped into a softball sized ball and boiled.
They became rubbery when overcooked and were a greyish color.
They can be eaten with sugar, ketchup, syrup or in my case molasses.

When I was a young lad in New Brunswick, we did not have the fries/gravy/cheese curd Poutines. I first experienced them while on a school trip through Quebec. They are now available at the Canadian McDonalds ( or at least were, the last time I visited my parents).

My grandmother made a pastry that was called "Poutine a Trou" ( Poutine with hole) that was diced apples, raisins etc in a pastry shell with and it had a vent hole in the top.

However you choose your Poutines, they are all pretty good.

Paypal can be a pain. I have had my problems with them. Sometimes it seems more of a hassle than what it's worth. Although I did have a dispute a couple years ago that helped actually get me what I paid for.
