I don't know if it will be better. I thought Thomas Jane was AWESOME as the punisher. John Travolta was great too, but it's pretty obvious he won't be back.

Changing actors is sometimes a good thing, but who knows. Looks like a good rental.

I hate to say it but that trailer made me want to see it less...
Looks like another very cheesy action flick.

Looked it..and it probably shot nukular grenades based on how the trailer looked.

The whole reason Punisher is cool is because he's just a pissed off dude with lots of weapons and no super powers; unlike Batman he's not even uber-rich so he can't afford gadgets and tech-savvy minions. I thought Tom Jane did a pretty good job in the last one (and I have a man-crush on Dolph, so that's saying a lot), because he wasn't too over the top with the role. It looks like they turned him into a Grammaton Cleric from Equilibrium here. This movie looks heavy on CGI/wire-fu/effects, not so much on realism and asskickery. I'm kinda surprised I didn't see any nipples molded into the rubber Punisher suit...

It's generally not a good sign when your franchise needs 2 reboots in less than 20 years and still sucks.

FYI - The first Punisher was from like 1989, "Starring" Dolph Lundgren. You might want to watch it before you declare your love for it

why did they change actors? i thought thomas jane did a very good job in the last one and the didnt make him seem so much like an over powered super hero and more like a very determined person. (see when he gets his *** kicked by the giant russian) This movie looks like their trying to turn punisher into batman.
