I am happy with this ruling on face value that an outright ban is unconstitutional. However, I don't expect this to change much outside of the most draconian regulations in places like DC and perhaps Chicago. I'm much more concerned with the regulations concerning carry on federal land. I think it is ridiculous that I may carry a pistol anywhere in my state except the wilderness areas under federal control. It is confusing and a gross violation of states' rights. |

That still must be a state law... In NH, I'm pretty sure I'm allowed to take a gun anywhere, except in a court house. That's the only place NH has them prohibited in a blanket statement sense.

I was thinking more along the lines of states passing laws that effect interstate commerce. Certain areas are designated for the Feds, but not many.
