Can you give an example to support that?

That seems to be completely contrary to established understandings of how liberal, and conservative judges view law.

Liberal judges tend to be ideological, and not traditionalist. They want to CHANGE rules by interpreting things to mean something totally different. The purpose being that as the world changes, people change, and the constitution needs to adapt.

Conservative judges tend to be strickly traditionalist, meaning that they do not want the definitions of the constitution to change. What it says is what it means. Don't like that, then follow the established route to change it. Its harder to adapt, but prevents corruption

I have no problems with the constitution being CHANGED to adapt to modern life. But through PROPER PROTOCOL. Trouble for liberals is the process to change the constitution is extremely difficult, and all but impossible. So, they go the easier route by simply changing the interpretation.

This would be like holding up 4 fingers, and demanding that everyone say "There is only 3 fingers".

Washington DC just needs to have the constitution rewritten, and the 2nd ammendment removed, and ratified by every state, etc. Proper procedure.

Al, you got that right...

But that wont happen until either we get rid of the media, which swings the majority of sheeple one way or another on a subject, or the collective patriots use the 2nd amendment for what Thomas Jefferson intended, to water teh tree of liberty.

There is not a great enough injustice to be seen to spark what you speak of for the common citizen.............Yet. It would all be what the military decides is 'right' if the SHTF, and you can only hope the temporary haunta returns sovereignty to the people then. If they just 'follow orders' we're all F'ed!

Being a good parent to me doesn't always mean willing to lay down your life for your kid, but rather be willing to lay down the life of the hooligan who trys to hurt your kid. End result is you still have your kids, your kids still have you, and the world is free of one less thorn-in-the-side. Sounds like a win-win-win situation to me.

I always thought it would be great to have some gun manufacturer come into a neighborhood of older folks, who are tired of hot break ins and robberies, to subsidize or even donate to the community shotguns, ammunition, and training.

Now that would be some good PR.

And now, so should every home . Though I'm still partial to Sam Colt's contributions, but there's nothing wrong with Springfields .

I like this ignorant quote from DC's Mayor

"More handguns in the District of Columbia will only lead to more handgun violence," Fenty said.

Please Mayor Fenty, show me a graph that details a direct correlation between the number of legally registered handguns and handgun violence. I'd love to see one.

Oh, he'll show you one. Just don't expect him to provide any sources for the data points.
