Awe... they're hurting the poor cow-thing. HurtCow is offended.

Go join PETA you PC whiners.

Just kidding... almost. There is something odd about them Spaniards. Always good to see one gored. It is only a bull, however, it is a STOCK animal and it's serving it's purpose.

Coward? He's in a ring with melee weapons engaging in close combat against a raging, pissed off bull. That takes more balls than hunting deer in the woods with firearms.

He's an ******* for causing that bull to suffer, but not a coward.

and because i brought up deer hunting

yep, cowards, with no balls... let him get in there with no weapons and ride it and we'll see how tough he is.

as far as deer hunting goes... i'm a hunter and proud of it and i can say that at least i'm not torturing and taunting the deer one stab at a time while people are sitting there cheering. when i hunt i make every effort possible to make a clean ethical shot on that animal. if you don't like hunting, fine with me, that's totally your choice but deer hunting is much more humane than bull fighting ever will be.

that's my whole point. humane has nothing to do with cowardice. if you had a spear and a bull is charging toward you, it'd still take balls to stand your ground.

Reminds me of an old saying.
Mess with the bull and you'll get the horn.

I guess that's why there are no old matadors around.

Threadjack ftw!

Won't be there Sat, I work every Saturday. You need to head up to Nevada City with me one of these Sundays and shoot with Brewtt/ajnin up at their field up in the forest.

they don't stand their ground, they just move to the side and stab it when it goes by. that may take balls in your opinion but i just don't agree... but that's my opinion and everyone has one so...

Well, I have to say, I would do the same thing if I ran into a very angry bull and just happened to have a few long, pointy objects.

Besides, its a Spanish tradition, remember, this is the same place where you can order a burger comprised of dog. To us, thats horrid, but to them, its lunch. Also remember, this traditions end result is meat for poor families there, its all used. The bull that goes through this is considered blessed. The people, for the most part, are not cheering for the killing of the bull, but for the tradition it enfolds.

However, would I deem it cruel? Yes, I do, but I cant do much about a sport in another country.
