They filmed part of this in my town...

I guess they could not find any actual Chinese Steel mills that weren't too busy making steel to serve as a movie set. In order to find an unused, third world looking steel mill for filming, they had to come to where it all began;

Pennsylvania.

Closed steel mills is one of our chief (movie-making) resources it turns out in this state.

Nope. They pretty much announced multiple sequels about two months after the last one hit theaters.

Well I must be out of the "Transformers Loop" then. I knew there would be a 2 but had no idea about a 3.... Yeah!! More robot good times!!

I own Hasbro stock so this has been really good for me in many ways beyond the basic entertainment value.

I figure if they do it, it'll either be in this one or in another sequel when I assume Megatron will come back

i can't for the life of me remember where i saw it, but
Megatron and Starscream go bare knuckled on Cybertron,
i can clearly remember the fight sequence and the Cybrtronian Crown being destroyed, robots rioting, and so on....
