I am not sure if any of you are watching the Olympics this year - but I am tired of watching obviously 12 year old or below Gymnasts in China (female) this year winning medal after medal.

They said they checked their age (via passports issued by China) but anyone can tell they are WELL under 16.

they submitted ages for previous events - many of them are 13-15. The passports are a new addition.

The problem I have with this is that if the IOC doesn't do something - their cred is gone - why is this worse than kicking runners out for doping?

the way I understand it basically gymnastics is a race against puberty. the smaller and skinnier the gymnast the harder stuff they can do (the faster they can spin basically).

Furthermore,

The girls are getting medals when we know AS A FACT that these girls are essentially kidnapped from their homes at three and told they will compete in gymnastics for the rest of the time that China finds use for them.

It should be illegal - not praised with Gold medals.

well, they do have a 20 year old

and how about that vault that was a completely blown call. not much of a deduction for a wipeout on that one.

She says she did - in fact the story goes that the father did not even push her in that direction until she asked to.

All I know is that she hugs and kisses her father after coming off the podium - not NEVER seeing them from the age of three.

Apparently when you are from the home town - a wipeout gets you a Bronze medal.
