Oops We shot the wrong bear

Instead of trapping them and relocating them they shot the mom and it was the wrong bear. They have one cub at the zoo and can not find the other one.
One of the folks mauled went running in the area after it was posted as closed so how would this be the bears fault?
I am far from being a tree hugger animal lover type person. However if we are going to shot a animal lets shot the right one.
If I shot the wrong animal I would be fined,lose all my gear and maybe do some jail time. how about them?

Well cops bust down the wrong house all the time. Things happen, people make mistakes and must protect the picnic baskets.

It sucks, I like bears but what can you really do...

I don't think they should have shot the bear regardless.

It's Alaska, that bear could have been packing heat to defend itself with if it had just had the foresight to evolve opposable thumbs. Serves it right!

Seriously though...must be nice to have an oil pipeline so your tax dollars can pay for DNA testing on animals. WTF. Kill it, give the meat to the poor, and done.

Bears do what bears do,... protect young and defend territory.

People do what people do... move into a new area and displace wildlife and then wonder why they get attacked.

What happened to tranquilizers?
