The title is misleading of course: the boy isn't shot in the throat, he is shot into his open mouth, into the back of his throat, by his 'friend' at 0 inches, after losing a bet...

The kid being shot didn't look to thrilled about being shot in the mouth,,, the guy doing the shooting is no friend of his for going through with it.
