Wink

Just bid the most you will pay for the item the first bid, and then walk away
if you get outbid.

I use a 3 second lead and win about 75% of the time

The problem I see with this is that others get in the "run it up" mode and tend to push the price over the value of the produce. I have seen this happen often in live auctions where it becomes more a quest to win than a chance to get a good deal. Unfortunately I don't have access to broadband at home and can't just sit on e-bay at work.

I swear, every time I go to this place I want a new gun! There should be a disclaimer popping up when you click on the forum warning you about the hazard to your wallet!

but that won't work on your auctions, that are mostly BIN and way to nice things for me to buy at times, but I have won a couple of your items.

Looks like I will have to try auction-sniper. It's very frustrating to see something sell for $20 less than I had set the sniper to bid at. Especially time after time.

topbidr is the one mcarterbrown built and operates.

I'm too dull to figure out how to use it, and I need to be banned from buying stuff anyways

Auction Sniper is very good, but I have had it put bids in early 2 to 10 Minutes early and people like you said bid it up just to try and get it. This happens on what they say is busy times on e-bay.

Also if you don't win you don't pay for the snipe.

If you go and look at the bid history you will see that if I did not win it you would have lost it for your max bid. Because the guy before you bid $50 at 14:01 and you bid $50 at 17:03 so his bid was first and he would have won it.

[TIP] Never bid normal numbers (25,30,50,75,100,etc) always use unusual numbers (26,31,51,76,101,etc) this way if someone bids 50 and you bid 51 than you will win it. (I have been trying to teach my dad about this. One day he put a bid in for 99.99 and he lost what he wanted because someone put in 100, so he lost it for a stinking penny. ) [/TIP]

Dude shutup . I've won by a penny more than once because of that. Honestly, I don't even try to snipe anymore. I run up the bid with 10 minutes left to see if I can take the high bid. If it gets closer and closer to my max and I still don't have it I put in my max and call it a day. If you are going to win something I'm bidding on you are going to have to outright outbid me.
