Of all the recent political developements, this is the most excitting. I never expected the GOP to send a woman to the whitehouse in any capacity, ant least not in this election cycle. McCain is going all the way baby.

And yeah, for a 44 year old governor from Alasaka, she is smoking hot.

i was surprised by the announcement myself. i never expected he'd choose a woman but this is a history making election.

I agree with her on a lot more stuff then i do McCain (heck, i have a feeling once I learn more, I am pretty sure I can say the same about her and Obama). if McCain wins, I hate to say it because i don't really wish him ill, but I have to kinda hope he isn't able to finish his term with her as the option. I know a lot of people are having a kneejerk reaction to her and comparing her to clinton, but I don't think thats at all fair. She is not clinton, and hasn't tried to be, she also brings a lot of counterpoints to mccains weakness's especially as pro-gun rights and is much more pro-enviroment so far.

she actually has more of a rep for bucking the republican establishemnt on oil companies. she is in favor of artic drilling, but she also has more of enviromentalist bent then mccain, so I would be a lot less worried with whatever approach she approves of to drilling then if mccain were doing it.

I don't think McCain will live through a full term at his age; or at least there is a high probability that he won't make it. I was hoping that he would choose a strong VP that would be a near equal in terms of presidential candidate level experience. This is her first term as governor! She is a total noob! I'm not a fan of Obama but I think all of the good VP candidates realized that McCain is a loosing bet and didn't want to run on a loosing ticket. Besides, you know he can't make it through two terms...why elect a guy who can't run a 2nd time since this is almost a guaranteed win for the party in office.

She is a "lifietime member of the NRA"...not bad

Of course then Roosevelt died... and Truman didn't have a clue what was going on.
