3d work.

New term for school which means a new term game currently going into term 5, so me and 3 other people are making a pod racer drag racing game. (Say that a couple times fast)

This means a lot of work from me, mostly because the way the group is set up we have me doing the 3d/level design/animations/texturing also I believe I have to make a intro video also.

We have 1 physics programer
1 programer/audio
1 program everything else guy.

Which is really odd, because there are almost no programers (good ones) in fact a lot of people hate me right now because I have 3. However every term that my group has done a game we have recieved an A on it. (one A+) So people know that we don't dick around.

Without any delay here is some of the Work in progress.

My reference image

This was a quick one I did to figure out how/what needed to be done with regards to rigging also so the programers could start to mess around with it and let me know if anything is wrong with my model.

I am hoping (with figures crossed) to have the first model finished textured, rigged and animated by sunday night.

You using Autodesk Visual Studio MAX? Taking a 3D modeling and animations class in my high school. Ive gotten quite good at it. I just need to find a way to bribe the teacher into letting me aquire a copy of the program for my own personal use, instead of using 3D Studio MAX, that stupid trial version.

Unfortunatly, he keeps saying no, since its like an $800 program.

3D sStudio Max 8 is the best program for this stuff IMO. I have a suspicion he's not using viz. Actually, are you using rhino for the modeling? That looks pretty nurbsy.

Nice work, looks good so far. George Lucas is going to be pissed though!

Ive gotten too used to Autodesk Viz 06. Havent had too much experience with 3D Studio Max, but from what I have worked with on it, I like Viz better.

Personal preference I suppose.

*EDIT* Yea, that does look like it was done in Rhino or another program of the sort relying a lot of NURBS stuff. Im only looking at the small thumbnails, since Im too lazy to click the pictures, though.

It was done in 3dmax 8.

Updated pic.

I'm messing around with some particle effects, because I want flames! I still have to put the small stuff.

Also no nurbs such as a smothing modifer was used on this model.
