Headphones?

Well, I gots myself an ear infection and my doctor suggests I don't use earbuds anymore because it'll cause me to re-infect myself over and over again like I accidently did so I need new set.

There's only a few things that I need:

- Headphones (not buds)
- Around $100 limit, saving for other things atm
- Conventional for walking around and doing work in a car shop

So far I've narrowed myself down to the following.

1. Cheap, and looks durable and reliable, but being cheap it is what it is, cheap. Cord length might be a little too long for convenience though.

Future Shop: iPod & MP3 Players: Headphones: Sony Traditional Headband Headphones (MDR-XD100)

2. A step up, cheap for a noise-canceling ability. Seems reliable and simple. Most interested in these.

Future Shop: iPod & MP3 Players: Headphones: Sony Noise-Cancelling Headphones (MDR-NC6)

3. Most expensive but new and a lack of reviews so there's no information on them yet.

Future Shop: iPod & MP3 Players: Headphones: Sony Noise Cancelling Headphones (MDRNC40)

If I could get some opinions or suggestions it'd be helpful. Thanks.

Edit: fgdsf! Father put his account on 'Remember me', this is Tanongi. Woops. ><

Silicon earbuds are the best headphones I have ever owned. So soft and smushy!!!

But, since your looking for headphones I would suggest BOSE. I saw some BOSE noise canceling at Target a while back for 120.

Fan of EMR
I agree about Bose, but I kind of hate Sony.

Are you looking for mobility or comfortability?

Skullcandy makes decent headphones but Bose is top notch talent.

I need to get some wireless headphones. I have a bad habit of chewing on the cord. I go through like a pair a week.

I'm looking for a good balance between confort, mobility and convenience.

Well since your ear is infected I would say over ear headphones would be the best, but they're going to be the biggest.

I've been using the MDR XD1000 for 2 years. I can counterstrike while the annoying neighbor white highland terrier barks continuously outside. Car shop is probably louder though so you may want to go a bit higher up. I've been tossing it around so I know it is durable. For the price I absolutely love it.

For your purpose I would agree with the cord length. It's looong. You may want to tie it up somewhere.

Not sure about the $99 one you posted. Never a fan of folding headphones because they always felt fragile to me.

I have two pairs of EarCandy headphones, one ear bud style and one around the ear, and I love them. Much better than the Sonys they replaced. I imagine that the Bose wold be better, but at under $60 for both pairs, You cannot beat the price
