It isn't that bad in my attic. I bail about 3 gallons of waters from the catch basins we have put up there every hour while it is raining.

I really can't put a large tarp over the whole roof as there are attic vents and other vent pipes up there. If I cut the tarp to go over those - I know what will happen.

I hope this system moves quickly - not so quickly it rips my tarp off - but quickly nonetheless.

If anyone reading this anywhere near me has access to a LARGE tarp - please PM me.

TF
Can you rig up a tarp as a rain fly over your house to allow for the vents?

Don't know yet. I will try and figure it out soon. The rain looks like an all day event.

If you were a little closer I could give you a couple of big tarps. I have been through a few fun hurricane experiences myself.

Yeah - I have learned my lessons with this one.

Get cash before the storm.
Get gas before the storm (I did this one).
Store Ice before the storm (I luckily did not need this one).
Get Tarps and plywood before the storm.

However, I roofer I got in contact with has found a tarp and is heading my way. It would be awesome if he comes through.

Ply wood is a must. When I lived in Texas I always had it ready to go. Pre cut. Always had plenty of bullets and guns. Also had 1 week packs on stand by and I carried the main rucsac with MREs and ammo. Money is always a must and so is water. Glad everything is fine and it's only your roof and sheet rock.
Later,
Blackrain

I got a large tarp and a roofer to help me today. I am going to go with him - he is BBB accredited and looks to be done in a week or two. I am very happy with this.

Things just may be looking up.

Dry waller coming this morning - have a call into our carpet guy - hoping to hear from an adjuster some time this week.

Hopefully we are on the road to getting this mess behind us.
