I think i came upon a small fortune...think

Ok, so a few weeks ago my family went up to visit my cousin, on the way back we go to a huge flea market. To make a long story short, i buy some really old Shotgun Belt i was gooing to use for 10rnd tubes. got it for 2.00$

upon trying to find out what it is, i see that there are similar ones going for 200+ on ebay and other antique sites.

Now, since MCB is full of the more intellegant(sp lol) people, can anyone name what this is, and what i could get if i sold it? Now, im not sure if this is allowed or not, but cant think of anywhere else short of sending it to a antique place and have them value it

thanks
eric

why would those sell for $200? I see tons of those at military surplus store from WWII. Collector's items?

Canadian tire used to have them for 4.99. Unless there is something special about that one, that is not visible.
I used to have one, exactly like that, except for the rust and fading.

Looks more like a big game belt than shotgun. Probably 50 years ago or so. Just my guess. Easiest way to verify would be to search a collectors site.

you can get brand new shotgun belts at your local S-Mart after hunting season for $3 or less.

I think he means it may be a wwii collectible or something. There may be something very particular that makes one belt more valuable than another. Link us the 200 yen auction..
