I doubt you can find any person in the US that hasn't at some point been associtated with someone with a dark history.

Obama's "friendship" with Ayers, by itself, was "explained" away in the debate with Hillary. However, his associations with all the unsavory individuals together, can not be explained away. William Ayers = Timothy McVeigh |

McCain cannot have been a politician for more than two decades without associations with countless "unsavory" characters. If that is what you want to hang your hat on in choosing a president, you might want to look a little deeper.

There's a difference between unsavory individual, and the usual mob contacts that politicians all seem to have, and an out and out terrorist blow up the pentagaon kill cops, and be unrepentant about it type.. I don't care how influential a guy like that is, I wouldn't choose to announce my candidacy in his home, or be as close to that guy as Obama seems to have been .
