I would love to have a Shoney's in Mass. I used to eat at those in Alabama. The breakfast buffets were awesome!

None of either in my area....just IHOP's....and I STILL can't understand why people wait for an hour to get a table there when we live in NJ, the diner capital of the free world.

I thought that was Long Island.

Are all the New Jersey diners owned by Greeks? It seems that way here.

Pretty much!
The QUANTITY of diners has stayed level over the years.
The QUALITY has definatley dropped though....of the 10 diners within 20 minutes of my house (literally) only 3 are what i'd consider to be really GOOD diners though.

I have that many within 5-10 minutes of the house.
And yes, they are predominantly greek owned.
