The reason for slush being worse than black ice is that slush has the sliding properties of black ice and the ruts pull the vehicle all over the road, not very good for icy conditions as you tend to slide all over the road.

When I say slush, not the little patches here and there, its when the road is covered in it.

Black ice is not too bad and fairly easy to recognize, basically, if the road is shiny and what I do to be sure is slow to about 15MPH, with no traffic around, slam on my brakes and see if I slide.

I honestly miss the snow, and the seasons change.

Walking around today in shorts while everyone else was bundled up was pretty funny. Even when it was 60 out.

LOL do you live where you get real snow?
You cant see black ice, it's black and blends in. It might even be a nice day just cold and your doing the speed limit and whoosh. Your facing the wrong way...

If it is slushy and the roads are full of it I am already going slow and prepared for something.

BTW I used to plow this crap on roads and parking lots
