We had some abandoned missle silos outside Mountain Home AFB in Idaho. Me and some of my buddies would go Splunking every summer. It was pretty crazy being about 200 ft under ground. Eventually the whole area was gated off becuase some kids were killed down there when the entire 3rd through 5th floors crashed down...

Boy were we stupid as kids.

I use the term 'Urban Spelunking' and do it often. I've seen some crazy industrial stuff.

Aye. Morgenstern and I have done some Urban Spelunking in the Western New York region. (Exact locations omitted for obvious reasons.) Here are a few pictures ... of people I don't know.

Awesome stuff. If I lived in an industrial or used to be industrial place, id be doing that all my life.

Unfortunately Monterey California and the area surrounding doesnt have a rich history of industry..and all the industry we do have is stuff like Whaling and Abolone ing and all of that is milked to death for tourists. No abandoned theme parks or underground quarreys.

Really really really cool stuff though, love it.
