I would try the steel wool before a flex hone...then if that doesnt work give the flex hone a shot....the flex hone is going to remove some material in order to remove the scratches...the steel wool wond remove as much... I have had good results with this method. Good luck |

Just a joke. Definitely avoid a hone. I would try to simply polish it first. If there are any serious burrs than sand them with what it takes to remove them and then run a rag on a dowel or a 12 gauge shotgun cotton swab thing (they make ones that are 3 or 4 feet long you can run the barrel up and down on) with good polish.. even though it may look bad after that it will probably work well. |
