I sported a goatee (with mustache, some told me that's called a vandyke... is that true?) for years and years, until I got my current job, where facial hair is not allowed (except for neatly trimmed mustaches). In two years when I leave I will grow it out again. I don't care either way about trends, I prefer how I look with it (hides some of my chubby chin :P), and my wife does to.

I think I look too young with no facial hare also. Unfortunately, the wife disagrees and hates the beard...

O well, she doesn't like anything else I do.. Why should this be any different.

Hmmm I go back and forth... mostly because of the choice of my wife and work (my one job site I'm required to have a clean shave because of emergency respirator use)....

I am allowed a mustache though and if I can make it through the first couple weeks I may keep it.... here's me last Aug with no more than two weeks worth of growth...

Ugh, I wish my wife would go for a full beard! I figure based on a 5 minute shave each morning, it would save me almost 31 hours per year!

She likes the goatee.....but that takes even MORE time to shave!

I got my trimmer 7-years ago, and have had the beard since then..... I'm lazy, I got tired of shaving daily for the 20-years I was in the service.
