Well I might have to change my handle.

I have been mustangii on quite a few forums for a long time, i'm not really going to change it. I just purchased a 1980 Ford Pinto Pony. Now the question is should I hop up the 2.3l 4 cyl. Or drop in the spare 351w I have.

I remember a guy put in a stroked, bored 350 (383 stroker) into a Monza, and that wasn't enough for him, he had to put in the blower. Thing was redicucrazy, I think he ended up twisting the frame from the torque, cracked the windsheild on it.

Sounds similar to a 351 in a Pinto to me..

Just don't go crazy with NOS and a blower, and you should be fine.

Grab a turbo 2.3 out of a SVO mustang, merkur xr4ti, tunderbird or cougar. Bolts right in and works awesome. Keep the car light and nimble, throw a few handling goodies at it, mod the turbo motor a bit and go embarrass V8s all day long! Seen one in a ranger that was frightenly fast................

That sounds like a lot of fun.

1980 Pinto

80 Pinto was my 1st brand new car. Little 4 banger . I ran the wheels of that thing . I loved that little thing. Great little car. Unfortunately I traded it in on a new 85 Bronco II , biggest piece of junk I ever had, and the last Ford I ever owned.

Yeah I think I'm going to stick with the 4 banger watching some weber carbs and a dual weber intake on ebay, lol. Also have my racer walsh catalog handy.
