That would get you shot at my house! Cuber indeed! Anything more than a little garlic and a hot skillet is BLASPHEMY!

I just got done with a nice venison dinner. Dad dropped off 3/4 of a deer last night, and I was up till 12:30 butchering. Had some nice fresh steaks for dinner tonight, with sweet carrots, collard greens and biscuts and gravy on the side.

Man! Just talking about it makes me want to go back and eat all over again!

I'd love to, my mother is rabidly anti-gun so I never had the pleasure of hunting. She threatened my dad not to do so when I got old enough to get out and try.

Always wanted to, I do like fresh food, and that would make for fun pest animal control (predators) and I could try my own taxidermy then. Oh the possibilities!

Kraus, damn straight. those are nice bucks there. congrats on those. i bet you are excited to go again. good luck, i hope you do well again this year.

where do you hunt?

Listessa, i hear you there. my cousins' mom wasn't too anxious to let him come hunting with me and my dad. it's my dad's brother's son too. WTF... does she think we're going to put him in harms way? if it was dangerous, i wouldn't be doing it myself. i told her that i would be sitting with him in the stand and we're not giving him a gun and letting him loose in the woods by himself. i believe it's better to teach a young person responsible use of a firearm (wether it be hunting, skeet shooting, or what ever...) rather then simply not allowing them to be around firearms, but responsibility is the key.

My nephew did some deer hunting this weekend with his 97 Dodge Neon. No pics unfortunately, he's alright, cars jacked up. His dad was pissed, he told him next time get it in the garage and gut it there (the deer).

Thanks for the compliments! I am very eager to get out in the woods again. I hunt in North-Central Missouri.

i hate to hear that. at least he's OK. that's the important thing.

me and my dad hit one on the interstate a couple years ago. we were running 70 MPH. it hit dead center of the Suburban. it busted the radiator, buckeled the hood and did about 5 grand in damage total.

hunting deer with cars is not cheap.
