My dad and I have some neighbors that own 300+ acres of private land. We've hunted there the last few years because we had to sell our 80 acre lot because of some drunks firing from trucks at running deer 300 yards away, being very reckless. They were even firing into the woods I was in, very scary.

Right now, our neighbors are letting us hunt until we can aquire a new hunting spot.

Funny thing about the 300+ acres of our neighbors, there are 2-3 large bucks taken almost every year.

that sounds like a nice place to hunt. do they do any type of deer management? looks like they grow some nice deer.

it's a shame you had to give up your previous lot. leave it to a bunch of idiots to mess things up for you.

i'd love to have my own plot of land to hunt. we lease land in our state and have a hunting club. it works out for us, but it's not as nice as owning a plot and to be able to do some management to grow some nice bucks.

speaking of mule deer. a guy my dad knows went out west and got a muley this year. it's one of the biggest i've ever seen, even the ones seen on the hunting shows on TV. it's HUGE. a true throphy class deer and probably a throphy class price tag to show for it too.

that's why the call it "hunting" and not "killing".
