Don't ever do this!

Ugh, I DID NOT want to post this, but now since I have sold my soul to another member here I have no choice.

About a year ago. One day after a cold winter day of playing paintball I thought it would be funny to open up the valve on my remote hose and let a 20 OZ of co2 empty completely. After seeing all the ice buildup on the side of the tank I got the not so great idea to lick it. And not just the little tip touch thing like in "the Christmas story" I mean a full on hardcore slobber. Needless to say, the tongue froze to the tank.

I had tried too get the tank under my sink to pour lukewarm water on it to get it to unfreeze. After getting multiple sponges stuck to the tank as well, i was finally able to get it off. I take a look at my tongue to see that it was white and curved in the shape of the bottle. I submersed it in cold water to get it to melt slowly, as to try not to damage the skin further. and it eventually defrosted.

My tongue was in extreme pain, and all the dead skin fell off. It has been about a year and although it does not hurt anymore i still do not have taste on that part of my tongue.

And of course i have pictures.

I don't remember the dates of each of those pictures. But the recovery in entirety took about a month. I could eat nothing but "carnation instant breakfast" or anything else i could drink through a straw.

Looking back... It was really funny, i just wish i didn't loose half my seance of taste becuase of it.
