Carter here you go, and B&B plus winery.Wedmore Place|boutique, luxury hotel at Williamsburg Winery|Historic Williamsburg|Virginia Luxury Inn|Cozy, Romantic Getaway I went to the winery for a tour and tasting last week. The wines are kick ***, and my wife got trashed. Couple the reserve wine tour and a romantic suite, could equal a memorable Valentine`s day.

Last year I gave my wife a "A donation has been made in your name to the Human Fund: Money for people" card that I had put together.

It actually went over very well.

For her last birthday, I got a really sappy romantic card, but crossed out the sappy romantic message on the inside and wrote "You're a great lay" instead.

I always found small kitchen appliances seem to work well. (NO) Remember thoughtful gifts always pay off better than expensive gifts. Fixing the tennis bracelet seems to be pretty thoughtful and unexpected. But, you know her better than anyone, that's why only you can really decide. Man o man, this is a sappy topic for a paintball forum.

Carter- I love the idea for your wife! It's so sweet and personal. A lot of women prefer something from the heart rather than high end stuff from the credit card.

If you are more craft-inclined rather than doing 365 things you love about her, modify a deck of cards into 52 Things I Love About You. Basically just think of 52 things you love about her, type them up and find little pictures you can stick with each thought, then punch a couple of holes through each card on the side, so you can use ribbon or something to tie the binding. Don't even bind them, use the cards as a coupon stash of 52 things you can DO for her, so she can give the cards to you one at a time as she redemes them.

Someone mentioned the bed and breakfast idea. That's a nice one too. Take her somewhere she doesn't go very often. One of the ladies I work with is going with her boyfriend to the hot springs! That would be awesome, especially since it might be quite cold - ie just the right weather for it.
A good dinner is very nice too, but DO something with it. Don't just do dinner and come home. Make it really memorable. Go out after and watch the stars, or do something silly and fun before the usual romantic stuff.

I know a lot of you guys are quite talanted in other hobbies/professions, like woodworking, metal working, machining, etc etc. Think of what your wife-ie things enjoy, can you come up with something that will make her remember when you first met, or some other milestone? Make her something that will remind her. Maybe give her something you know she needs- does she have a hard time reaching the top shelves? Find her a step-stool. Even if you can't make one, why not get an unfinished one at a store and paint it so it will match her colorscheme?

Men are expensive and difficult! I'm still not finished with the Xmas gift in progress. At least I have something good to give him for this stupid holiday. Granted, it would be a lot easier if anywhere in town actually had plated bullets among other reloading supplies. He'd be in heaven with that as a gift...
