Oooo I like Azzy's idea. That would be the BEST Xmas card EVER!!!

Congratulations on the deer Adrian, did you say you were having the head mounted? That will make a very nice mount. You should get the hide tanned too - see if you can get a nice leather jacket or vest out of it. Or just craft leather. Buckskin rocks. =)

Yea i liked the tongue to i was hoping that it could stay when we get it mounted but it cant . Sorry about the pictures i couldnt figure out how to put them up. Thank you uncle lee. For New York 135 pounds is a good size buck especially in my area. It ran about a 100 yards.

was that weight before or after field dressing?

a guy in our club shot a 8 pointer that measured a 20" inside spread that weighed well over 200 lbs. and that was a huge deer for our area. i would have thought that the farther up north you go the heavier the deer are, but i guess a lot depends on the abundance of food for the deer.

Lee doesnt hunt i guess its just not for him. As the meat not shure yet but yes azzy my one grandma can make some pretty good jerky so im going to have her make some and as the rest i dont know yet. The deer was weighed after the field dressing due to we had to drag the thing out and had a good walk. But all and all it was a good day and was worth it.
