the trim tabs should start out centered.

the throttle trim should be to the extreme though. maybe Avery could clarify that?

edit: Avery beat me to it.

Just read through the Engrish manual again..

Looks like all the trims should be to middle, and the throttle trim should be at zero, or it wont even start.

Thanks guys!

Avery - no swashplate that I can see.

After i learn this one, amybe i can convince my future father in law to take out the one he has.. a 6' gas powered heli, never flown, and probably about 8 years old now.

hey Avery,

what brand of radio do you use?

in my airplanes i use a JR 8 channel PCM radio. 8103 is the model i believe.

in my cars i use a Futaba radio along with Airtronics and JR servos.

edit: Good luck with the flight Azzy. let us know how it goes.

nice Avery. Futaba makes some great radios for the money. i know what you mean by all those settings. in most cases, there's more settings than you need, but it does help to have the extra functions that the cheaper systems don't have.

i'd like to go fly too. it's been a couple years since i've flown.

For anybody who's interested, I have a box of parts that add up to most of a Kyosho Nexus 30

I've been thinking about getting a Raptor 30 after I spend a little more time on the simulator...

I had the cheap knockoff (same name IIRC) but no extras. Sorry!

Hmmm, huge gas helis are cool. I'm gonna stick with micros for now, maybe when I get a big yard!

No prob It says its just a serial cable couples to an Svideo connector. Too bad I just tossed out that old serial mouse.

This thing came with a trainer kit, but the kit was not made for this heli (it was also missing 1 mount for the kit). So I stop by the local hobby shop for some train stuff, and pick up another trainer kit. bring it home... look at it all.. and end up using the old one, ditching the clips, and using loose mini zip ties to hold it in place.

Works like a charm, and it gives me another reason to go back to the hobby store
