Thats pretty cool. There is actually an RC Plane club right across from the place i paintball at. We always hope someone flys it a little to low and a little to close .

i do some RC flying and i'll say that this guy has some skill and has that thing dialed in. great flying indeed. indoor flight has a big advantage though... no wind.

Wow.

My uncle's a pilot, and a bunch of his buddies fly R/C stuff. There's a longstanding joke though, watch out when a real pilot brings an R/C plane back, since they'll usually wind up doing everything backwards. I've seen some good stuff, but that was just incredible. Of course, having greater than 150% thrust ratio doesn't hurt.

Yea, you got me there, lol.

I remeber once last year when I was doing some gliding at a small, uncontroled airport. About halfway through the day I notice a large bunch of people setting up on one of the taxiways. Trucks, tents, everything. I go over to take a look and it's a RC plane meet. And the models that they had!
Everything you can imagine, from about two feet in length to one model of an F-18 they had who's wingspan was larger then I was tall!
All exclusively jets.
From F-16 and MIG look alikes to purpose built aerobatic models, it goes without saying there was some really amazing and skillful RC'ing that day, really, really cool stuff. Neat little hobby for someone to get into, always wanted to myself but i've always been to busy with real flying. Maybe in the future.
Anyway, the previously mentioned F-18 did go on to later almost manage to cut me off when I was on short final later on in the day, they really could have picked a better place to fly them then right to the south of the runway we were operating from but whatever, no harm done.

Reminds me of that B-52 model:

YouTube - B-52 RC 8-Engine Jet Model Crashes

And on that note:

YouTube - RC Jet Crash at Dixie Jet Rally

YouTube - Jet model airplane crash

YouTube - RC Jet plane explosion

I enjoy watching that far too much.
