Airsofters?

There any airsofters cruisin these forums?
I like the technology behind airsoft rifles, and the cost of the ammo isn't terrible, so I just bought a used and really upgraded Echo1 Scar.. this is the vid from the previous owner

YouTube - scar review

and was going to mess around with some friends.

It's really interesting to me though to compare the two cultures of airsoft and pb. paintball its a game, and the equiptment. we don't worry about parts being plastic, but we strive to make our gear origional, while airsoft shoots for making it look like the real deal. to the point of Airsoft guns having mock sliding breechs, and buttons that only would do anything on the firearm they are modeled after.

It just seems like airsoft, while played by the more soldier'esqe of gun sports requires more imagination. anyway.. just wondering if there were any serious airsofters out there

Airsoft is fun when your gun works. Too bad I never got really deep into airsoft, I'm sure if I did I wouldn't play paintball though.

I actually have fun w/ airsoft.

I got my pastor involved and now we get to play inside our church. We get strobe lights and fog machines and make it an all night event. We try to have loud "war" sounds playing on the church sound system as well to give that distraction and sense of awesomeness. We pick up the BBs w/ a shopvac.

For me its no contest, I'd rather play paintball but air soft is generally cheap and can be successfully played indoors without damage.

I used to play, but I don't any more. I still have a TM AUG and an ICS M4 though.

Five.. I don't know if it's just me but there is something odd about playing airsoft in a church. It does sound like a lot of fun with the fog machines and such.

I about fell out of the chair laughing. I suppose it probably does seem a bit wierd to play in a church. Its not a fancy church building. The building is set up more like a school than your traditional church w/ a steeple

Oh and it is alot of fun. We have all the doors open to the building, we play at night, there are two floors, we put tables all over the place for cover, there are hallways, and little rooms. Its pretty dang cool.

Airsoft is full of cheaters, the honor system doesn't work. I've gone play airsoft twice, and neither time was fun because of the cheating. I mean, the dude's head was bleeding from a hit and he was like ummm no.. i jammed my head into a branch of a tree this morning.
