Agreed, but the robber sure didn't seem to have much of a problem with it...

That's for sure. Does anyone know if the scumbag was hit by the way?

JaKaL makes a good point that as amazing as it sounds bad guys don't like to use their good judgement...of course morales flew out the window when they decided to ROB someone. Down here in FL we have a new law that not only allows us to protect ourselves by using deadly force but also when we see that there is the potential for fatality to another. When I lived in the communist state of California where mainly the bad guys have guns they would have wanted this guy to just hand the money over so as to not endanger anyone. They all ready are in danger....the crook has a gun and is breaking the law. I give the clerk a big pat on the back for reacting quickly and with clear intentions. Everyone that was in that room may owe him their life.

Looked like the guy fell just outside the door in the video. It seems like the clerk was covering him from inside near the end of the video.

Shooter fired 3 times, bad guy was hit 3 times and fell just outside the door. I would much rather have my life in MY hands than to trust a criminal to use his "good" judgement to not kill anyone. All the blame for endangering the child lays with the bad guy in the first place.

yeah, if you watch the door, it never closes, so the robber is laying on the ground keeping it from closing.

i'm all for the guy that shot him. too bad it didn't kill the stupid SOB.

Truly, it's a gigantic risk to the compainy you work for, and yourself if you stand up to robberies. Guarinteed that if anyone tried it at my window, well, I doubt I'd be able to handle proper protocall.

Tellers are spacifically instructed to give over what is demanded, so as to avoid a hostage situation that could escilate. We are supposed to care about the lobby people, and ourselves and not "do something stupid to cause harm to anyone around." (yes that's a quote from my handbook...)

I wish we could be encouraged to kick butt like that.

Yes but Listessa your choice of guns would probably be something large, messy and noisy.

(Pictures Listessa with a streetsweeper)

Lawyers will be the death of us all. Ever notice that bad guys only rob and shoot up places where they know they are relatively safe. Banks with plenty of hostages, few guards and tellers with orders not to take chances, 7-11s, Pizza delivery guys. Schools are another place that is safe to shoot up, Churches are good too, no guns in church.

I agree with PolarMonkey, sue the badguy. Of course he doesn't have any money but the Hotel chain does.

I can remember when I was younger and worked at a video store in CA. We were told that it came from the top down, "If you are being robbed, give them everything they want so that they will leave." I thought

Listessa is not the only person told by her higher ups, as in people not in the line of fire, that they are to be compliant with the criminals. You have a gun pointed in your face and you will rethink a lot of what the higher ups have told you to do. Makes me think of something Doc would do... Right on their heads. Here in FL, in the Tampa area they put into effect a no chase policy if the car pursuit went over a certain speed. Well every Tom, Dick and Harry knew that they could speed up when (enter any illegal activity in a car) and the cops would have to drop back off the chase. By being compliant in a robbery we are TEACHING the bad guys that they will not be stopped unless they try to rob a police station.

I think the teller with the gun was in the right using the proper gun control!! If more establishments and people were armed we would have less robberies. Imagine going in a bank full of people and holding it up and hearing 30 safeties click off behind you at the same time!! would kinda make you think twice I think.
