Yep. In fact, when he attempted the knee in the 2nd round, Nelson took him down, and from there it was a short trip to game over.

Yeah that was disappointing. I think he rocked Roy in the beginning of the 2nd, but got too confident and threw the knee at the wrong time and lost his balance. The coaches never taught him to stay in full guard or get to it.

Stamina will come with training, but his main focus needs to be ground skills and defense. He didn't even try to get into full guard or anything else. He could have a style like Liddell once he gets good at blocking takedowns. I don't think he fought his style last night, he tried to be too technical. If he would've went out there and brawled he would've had a better outcome. However, even though he lost he's not defeated. He still has that hunger and willingness to improve which is why Dana put him on the show. Look at the other fighters they're not that impressive. First fight sucked Abe got smashed. Second fight those guys were gassed and didn't turn it up when they should've and I haven't seen any good skills in there yet. I think Dana put Kimbo on there to boost the ratings for TUF and to improve Kimbo to get him into the UFC. However all in all Kimbo is one of the coolest cats I've ever seen on this show. He has the image of a thug, but seeing his real personality he's chill. Rampage cracked me up with his Kimbo cut.

How about big Marcus talking about liking flowers? LOL, he should be on Martha Stewart not TUF.

I am really suprised at how Humble Kimbo is, Its refreshing to see a guy like him act that way after a loss..
I look for him to capitalize on the oportunity he has on this show and better his ground game....
We'll see Kimbo in the octagon again I Guuurrr-AAnnnnn-Teeeee

I didnt read the posts...cause I may still download and watch...so I dont want to get spoiled.

I will point out that ALOT of fighters point to a Beard as a sign of weekness. Hides the chin...might just be a way to get under an opponents skin though.

And it wasn't even close. As Randy has said in many interviews, he had no clue what he was even doing for the tournament as he had just done wrestling in the past, and had never done formal MMA training. Brock spent a couple years with a great camp before fighting at all. An add in the NCAA he wrestling championship and being runner up the year before. Also, how does the Belfort fight count for Randy since it was for a spot in the title fight but Brock's fight against Randy doesn't count? Again, that doesn't make any sense. Both were for spots in a title fight. Did Brock win a lot to earn the shot to fight Randy---not really. But here's the thing---he dominated him in the fight to earn his spot in a title fight. Then he destroyed the champ. He has probably the 5th ranked HW in the UFC next, then you would figure Minotauro if he wins.

Seems like you're focusing a lot on his WWE life five years ago when you keep saying circus instead of what he's done as a real fighter. You're saying a guy that ran through two of the best in the world in their weight class can't fight becuase his sample size doesn't meet your specs, but you really need to look at the quality of the wins. Even in his loss he was dominating until he got caught. This isn't boxing. How you fought in losses matters. And he didn't look bad in that fight ( again, his first ufc fight, where plenty of really good fighters look out of sorts). I just don't see any objective way you can look at what Brock has done and discount him as a fighter.
Don't worry bro...

Those who have been into the sport for years know better. Lesnar has pre MMA resume on par with Randleman, Frye, Coleman, Severn, Jackson, and Couture.

Kimbo is a fraud though. The next generation of Tank Abbot, knockout power that gets smothered when he faces off with anyone with tools. At least Kimbo has the sense to be fitter than Abbot.

Cant say I agree with the Fraud part, but the rest of that quote is currently the most true thing about Kimbo I have read in a while.
I think the big difference is that Kimbo gives a Damn, Tank just wanted to Brawl and when the game changed he thought he would be ok. Kimbo actually recognizes his weakness and is willing to work on it...the proof is in his own words on the show.

Brock is the real deal, im not even gonna get into it. I dont see anyone that can beat him right now except for Fedor

back on Kimbo, theres so many heavyweights better than him, he's a below average MMA fighter in the UFC
