Managing money in a business or a small run like this isn't as easy as it sounds guess he found out the hard way and we are the ones who paid for his lesson.

he doesn't manage a business, and he should have planned it out better or had some experience in what he was doing before taking pre-orders. the worst part is simply that he took the money and did not refund it... which is fraud.

Well, you guys could press charges if you wanted. It might be too late for paypal, but not too late for the cops if that's the route you wanted to take.

That might not be worth the trouble for the police to consider since it's just a petty crime.

If somebody needs to feel a little closure they might think it's worth the effort. I wouldn't, but this is the exact reason why I haven't taken pre-orders on my UC kit. It's taken a lot longer than I'd obviously hoped, but there were things I hadn't anticipated come up along the way. If I had cash in hand already, I'd be pretty pressured to have kits out the door.

It doesn't sound like you tried too hard. Anyone with any sort of experience knows if you want something done, NEVER use email. Interact in person, or on the phone, and things will get done. I got a refund as soon as I asked for it.

I agree with splattttttt to my knowledge all the refunds were distributed so this should not be in the Hall of Shame.
