I seem to have a medium pressure 'cat - with some improvement too.

I thought I was going to do all sorts of mods to my old thunder cat in order to get it up to 280 fps with my 650 psi ninja bottle. I put the bottle on to see where I would be starting. It used to shoot about 270 fps with my 850 psi crossfire. It recocked fine and it turned out to be shooting about 315 fps! The only thing I can figure out is that the Type-R grip I put on there has a whole lot of volume to it. I had to crank in the velocity screw almost a full turn.

I changed the barrel front (shorter) and it didn't make a difference.

Anyway, it makes a tiny little package.

I went out to shoot the last dozen balls I had of the same paint. Same setup, except the new ASA. Instead of +/- 6 fps, I was looking at +/- 2 fps! I'll have to shoot some more, but I would have hit a flyer within that bunch before.

Really like how the Euro grip and that Type R chamber work together. Sick looking TC you got there.

And glad to hear it's working good for you. I've never had any problems shooting my Cats with HPA. But yeah, I usually use Crossfire or PE high output tanks and I either have expansion chambers or gas-through grips mounted to my cats. I've got a couple Myth regs now, and while they say they are high pressure output I have reasons to believe they are more like mid-high outputs.

Looks like I'll have no problems using my Myth regs with my Cats.

Hmm...maybe I'll throw a spare reg on my Alley Cat and see if it can be sweetspotted.

Hopefully, tomorrow I will get a chance to round the corners off of the vert ASA halfway down, re-ano, and make it all smoothy like.

What barrel kit do you have on that TC? Kinda hard to find ICD threaded kits with backs small enough for today's paint.

It's an empire kit. It runs between 696 and 681. I think I was a hair underbored at 684 (as marked). The paint was a few months old and had plenty of time to soak up some humidity. It came only with the 16" tip, but I found the shorter one by itself (on the 'bay iirc).

I always forget how nice the single turn threads are.

actually, spider!, you have it the other way around. ICD threads are 4 lead threads. cocker threads are single lead threads, hence the 2 turns for a ICD threaded barrels, 2 minutes for cocker threaded.

Yeah, the empire kit has about 1/4" of thread, 4-lead, but it's still 20 threads per inch. I see right about 1 and 1/2 turns of the barrel to get it off. I was thinking one turn to get it off. Still fast. Not quite a twist-lock though. :p

I trimmed the shoulders off the ASA, much more comfortable. I drilled the air port out while I was at it to match the .250 port in the body. It's hard to get a good picture of the black gun in my poor light.

Oh! I forgot it's a macro-less miracle of modern machining!

looks great. plus, don't tell anyone about the internal air lines and being macroless. you'll start a new fad and then everyone will want to jump on that band wagon.

Looks awesome, Spider! I so need to hit a field this year...
