| Promaster I am looking at getting a promaster in a trade for some nonpaintball items valued at around $100. I know ICD recently left the paintball scene, am I in trouble if I get the promaster? Barrels, aftermarket parts, etc. Is there much out there? I have always liked ICD markers and hope that I won't be buying a marker that has no future at all.

| Parts will be available for some time to come. It's still a good deal. It's an amazing little marker. Light and compact and rips. I sold mine since once I saw the ramping mode I just realized that I didn't want to have anything to do with such silliness and decided that I'm a mechanical trigger sort of guy.

| I am a little uneasy about the "ramping" mode as well. Feel like it is cheating, but the guys I will be playing with (bunch of old guys) want to play speedball or nothing so I guess I will need something with that ability. Or maybe play in restricted group. Anymore than 4 bps seems like overkill in my book.

| Why am I here...? | I got mine stock (still stock, I've been too busy upping my more used guns). It's comfortable and easy to operate enough that I just carry it as a back up semi incase everything else doesn't work (which is never, since pump guns always work %99.9). It shoots nice and doesn't whine, feed it paint and air and it's a happy little guy. Just set it on semi and just pull with one finger.

| Mactruc, the ramping is settable so you can turn it off. There's about 6 to 10 modes of firing you can set with single ball per tap semi at various caps being some of them. The trigger is sweet and it would be fairly easy to one finger it to 6 or 7 and with a bit of two finger walking practice I'm sure you could get 8 or 10 out of it. I just decided that I wanted to pull a real trigger instead of click a mouse button when I'm playing paintball.
