My B2K4 arrived today!

After delays from the kid I was trading with, my B2K4 has arrived. And I got hosed on this I am thinking. Kid told it would be cleaned, it wasn't (which I found interesting because that was his reason for not sending out on time), and that everything worked. The yellow paint I can clean up just fine on my own, but I am worried about the PDS not working and maybe a bolt issue.

There are two switches on the tray. First one seems to do nothing. It can be up or down and it doesn't change anything. Second switch in up position green light on, in down, green light off. If I pull the trigger, light flashes no matter what position the first switch is in. I thought that if PDS was there light WOULDN'T flash. Also, it seems to be missing two pins in the trigger frame. There are 3 holes directly below the lights, middle one has a pin, other two do not.

Second, the the bolt looks damn odd. Like he hacked a section of the back off. And, on top of that, how is the bolt pin supposed to stay in? It just falls out. (Sorry about the picture quality, I am in a hurry atm, if anyone needs more detailed pics of it lmk) I tried looking at the B2k4 manual on icdo and got no where. And the forums there make me nervous, the people here seem nicer.

So anyway, I plan on taking off the eye covers tonight to see if they are even there. And trying to get my hands on some air. Gotta find a place in town that fills HPA tanks.

Thanks
jay

That much I have pieced together, but shouldn't the light not flash if the gun doesn't cycle. I should have mentioned that I do NOT have air atm. But I thought I read somewhere that it wouldn't flash if there was nothing in the chamber. But it does not mater what the location of the switch or if anything is in front of the eyes or not.

And your bolt should look similar to this one from my B2k4 Standard (non-PDS):

Looking inside the back of the bolt, you should see a hex bolt. This is the retainer for a ball bearing and spring that hold the bolt in. You may need to tighten it, and the bearing will protrude into the pin hole. If the bolt pin will not stay in place, don't test fire the gun. You may get the bolt in your face.

Good luck.......

The extra holes in the frame is there so that you can adjust the pivoting point by putting the trigger pin in one of the other holes. I also think that the trigger has extra holes, but I may remember wrong.

The 3 pin holes on the trigger frame (below the switches) are your choices for trigger pivot points. Stock they come setup in the middle hole, however you can move the trigger forward or backward, whichever suits you best. Rest easy, your trigger setup is perfectly normal!

Thank you for the manual! I didn't see that one, just the nonpds version.

Thanks for the info on the "extra" holes. Those were freaking me out.

And the bolt looks NOTHING like that. well, kinda, like he cut off the back end. I guess it won't really hurt anything, just wish I would have been told

Guess I was all too ready to get screwed and thought for sure that is what happened when I saw its condition fresh from the box. Now I have had some time to calm down and think and read. Now its time to take it apart and see how it all works
