| You know the badger was basicly a simple blow forward, with on off, and with hydrolic cup seal, built with very few machined parts, mostly just tubes brassed togeter, and a few threaded componients with holes drilled into them Paint - Perentie Badger - The Australian Marker Last edited by Al Ray; 07-22-2008 at 06:38 PM. |

| Yeah Ive got one myself. Pretty neat guns. Idealy Id like to see the same seal used for the on off as the powertube, and reg the whole thing down to a lower pressure, as the trigger pull is a pain. Also side tap the body and ditch the epoxied in place cutain rod barrel in favor of somthing that bolts on(like the badger is allready) but the barrell portion is threraded. Thats where I quit on mine (well put it on hold) As I relised I would be better off build new parts than modifieg old ones, as replacements dont exist for the old parts and with the rarity and all. One of these days Ill fire up the lathe and get craking on it, but Ive got the family curse of starting too many projects anyways so that one can wait. |

| Started machining today. WHeeeeeeeeee! Russc - you know I was thinking off the same acronym ( although I don't think it had the same meaning), but thought that we might bring on the wrath of the Glenn... |

| Active Member | Dude, Check this out: Classic Desert Fox I think you will spend a lot of time replacing the valve O-rings, this version of the Fox had a cool fix for that. Just a thought. I'm gonna have to keep an eye on this thread. I do like the concept.

| That is a nice design. Similar to the AGD in many ways. And again... Many many parts ![]() Your original idea makes the most sense if you're looking to simplify the "blow forward" design. Try and think of it this way maybe? Take a Phantom valve chamber. Now add your on/off (AGD like) and bolt. Add a TPC like on the Phantom, so that you have a guide for the power tube, and a velocity adjustment all in one. Very similar to what you started. But the bolt may work better this way... Or not. Just my two
