Small Spyder project

I was wondering if you could make up something to take one of these: New Spyder MR MR1 MR2 MR3 Clamping Feed neck - Black - eBay (item 270520135969 end time Feb-22-10 15:58:35 PST)

Maybe you could modify a Spyder body directly to accept one. Cut off the powerfeed and drill and tap the body. Or maybe make a sleeve to slip over the body after cutting off the powerfeed. Or something. I'm really not picky.

And also, is there and way you could mock up a clean looking way to use 'cocker detents instead of the usual nubs?
