OK, I've had a Splatmaster (maybe 2) forever...I pull it out once in a while just for fun. I've never had it apart even though the velocity is a little low. So, with my limited Splatty knowledge...how do these parts fit in? Could it be the solution to my velocity problem? I'm a machinist myself so if you're not selling would it be possible to get some drawings? If you're selling, I might be interested. |

With a solid valve, my splatmonster might actually work. Hmmmm......

The part shown is a new drop in valve. It replaces your stock splatty valve and "bolt". The stock Splatty guts are very crude and made from plastic...including most of the valve. Which by design isnt very effiicient and has the tendancy to run low on the FPS spectrum. The Phantom valve is built to better standards and if you've ever owned a Phantom (or most nelsons for that matter) you'll know that the valve system is fairly efficient. It also gives you the option to use a different valve spring. This mod is something that me and Ivan have discussed for some time now. His Splattmaster literally has no stock internals left. I built him a aluminum rail, brass barrel, aluminum velocity adjustable pusher, Stainless Steel trigger plate and now this. The only stock piece will be his original clam shells. We've also discussed an all aluminum body to... ![]() Hopefully i'll get some more pics up tonight of a 95% completed project. -Jake

If you make it efficient enough you could hypothetically use a lighter spring, which would make thumbing the plunger much quicker and easier. Or headbutt-recocking.

So, did you just crosspin the powertube like the stock valve?
