| Overthinking this? I agree. Or perhaps I just had an epiphany... and not the SP one either... The basic blowback setup will free cycle at around 35 to 40 CPS. That's far higher than any hopper can provide. And with a delrin bolt and lightened hammer it would be even faster. It seems to me that we need to take a page from the Pneumag Automags and set up a little air cylinder to help return the trigger. A simple cylinder located in the trigger frame with a line to the forward portion of the hammer chamber. When fired a small portion of the recocking pressure would be sent to the trigger's air cylinder to kick it forward as an aid to the trigger fingers. If done right and with a slight one way valve setup it would hold the pressure in the cylinder that pushes the fingers forward and not bleed away fast enough to prevent the trigger recatching the sear. When done right you could just hold the proper trigger pressure and the marker would rapid fire at a rate set by the bleed away setting of the trigger's air return cylinder. Hmmm...... could I be onto something here? Once I get my Pump Piranha done this may be a project worthy of my diabolical designs for world domination........

| ^^^^^ Isn't that how the Tippmann RT trigger works?

| I've only seen some stuff from the Automag pneumag system so the Tippman connection caught me off guard. I guess great minds all think alike..... or at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it... So there's a system like this that feeds recocking pressure back to the triggers on Tippmans? I'll have to check this out. It's still a nice idea as an inbetween for Spyders and Piranhas......

| I'm working on this kind of project myself. So far my plan revolves around the illegitimate child of a Spimmy, a Pneumag, and that mech Ion that's been floating around. I'll post up a worklog after it's done if I remember (no guarantees) |
